ubuntu 12.04 + xfce 4.8: no audio anymore

Check if you still has HDA codec attached.

(post here aplay -l command).

Few weeks ago I has mysterious HDA codec disappearance and reappearance 
latter without any rational reason except few reboots (CONEXANT Analog 
on thinkpad x220 laptop)
