Release notes for 1.0.0
=======================
Release 1.0.0
Note, branch 1.x will be used for the development of a gtk2 branch of
xfce4-indicator-plugin. Gtk3 branch will be developed in parallel in
branch 2.x.
Changes:
- plugin builds as a library and installs in
${PREFIX}/lib/xfce4/panel/plugins/
- fixes to the layout of indicator buttons,
- all preferences are now in xfconf and are bound to GObject
properties,
- added an "align-left" property,
- added a whitelist capability ("whitelist" and "mode-whitelist"
properties),
- added indicator sorting capability (via preferences),
- added indicator entry sorting capability (via libindicator location
API),
- added a "preferences" and "about" dialog.
Known issues:
- libappmenu.so (a.k.a. Global Menu) indicator interface is buggy and
missing features
- changing blacklist/whitelist requires a panel restart ("xfce4-panel
-r")
- (independent from us) most indicators are now distributed in Gtk3
version. They will not be available with this (Gtk2) version of
xfce4-indicator-plugin.
