Screen Brightness: Sony Vaio

I'm also running XFCE on a Vaio (on Arch Linux).

I run xfce4-brightness-plugin in the panel and xfsettingsd is set to run 
at startup (which I think is what picks up keyboard shortcuts?) and it 
just kinda works after that.
