pulseaudio isn't suitable for all systems either (professional audio
users require jack or alsa without pulseaudio and less importantly
grsecurity kernels when mprotect isn't disabled on the pulsaeudio
binaries kills pulseaudio (A grsecurity kernel also kills xfce4-mixer
anyway but not gnome-alsa-mixer).
