Because its not Gnome?
If you want everything Gnome has and done, use Gnome. XFCE is not near
as heavy or as demanding you do something the way the
designers/developers want you to.
So, yes, some features aren't there, but others are there that <voice
style="Gollum">My Precious Gnome</voice> does not have...
The whole applications/settings menu is available from the right
click... versus having to waste space on a panel. That should count for
something.
Is it really that difficult to arrange them yourself? Mine change once
in a blue moon... if that often.
