XFCE problems.

The process would depend on the particular distribution you are using.
 Slackware users can build a txz package for lxdm using the source
code and slackbuild available on slackbuilds.org, install it, and then
configure their startup scripts (in my case, /etc/rc.d/rc.4) to start
lxdm rather than some other login manager.
