Thanks. I've got 7026 bytes of output plus a line saying:
(xfce4-power-manager:8569): xfce4-power-manager-WARNING **: could not map keysym
1008ffa8 to keycode
What should I look for in the saved output?

Settings -> Power Manager displays a window with three options:
"General Options", "On AC" and "Extended". I don't know whether it is xfpm or
something else. The title line shows Xfce Power Manager.

OK, I'm on 4.8 so I'll have to wait for 4.10
