feature request re: xfce panel spacer object

In previous versions of xfce I was able to position icons on the panel
anywhere I chose. Now, it seems I can't do that anymore. In other words,
if the panel is situated horizontally at the bottom, I can't locate any
objects at the extreme right end of the panel; they all float to the left.

The workaround is to use a spacer between the objects I want at the left,
and the objects I want at the right, then select the 'expand' option. It
works OK; but now there is a black line indicating the spacer right in the
middle of the panel which looks out of place. Could we add an option in
the spacer properties to 'hide' the spacer, so it occupies the desired
space without showing itself?

Thanks.
