The "cycle_minimum" setting will let you Alt+Tab to windows that are
hidden from the taskbar and/or the pager. There is currently only one
shortcut to show/hide the desktop, it's through Ctrl+Alt+D (it can be
configured in xfwm4-settings -> Keyboard).
