Apologies if this is my ignorance showing (being a relatively recent convert
to Xfce and not being a regular user of Thunar just yet), but does this also
affect the popup-menu of the desktop icon for the optical drive(s)?
If so, that would be fantastic. I've been wanting such a feature (which was in
KDE 3.x and used frequently by me) ever since I switched to Xfce.
Unfortunately, my search back then turned up a disappointing reply by Brian J.
Tarricone to this May 2009 bug entry:
https://bugzilla.xfce.org/show_bug.cgi?id=5343
In part, Brian says: "I don't intend to allow unmount while the CD is mounted.
Eject should be the only option."
Personally, I respectfully disagree. But since I obviously don't maintain that
code and he does (did?), I figured there was little point in arguing about it
when he stated his opinion so emphatically.
Glad to hear there may be such an option someday! Thanks to all who've
contributed to Xfce!
Regards,
