I don't want to keep replying into this thread since it's not 
contributing anything at this point anymore, but, what you say above 
here makes absolutely no sense: You're saying that each desktop 
environment needs to duplicate starting up all the same things that the 
other desktops need to start. So gnome needs to start consolekit, xfce4 
needs to do it, kde needs to do it, enlightenment needs to do it. And 
those poor users that use twm are what, stuck without consolekit 
support? No ssh-agent support unless they reinvent the wheel?

Corsac, as said before, I'll go a long way trying to help getting 
uxlaunch working on any distro, but let's take this thread off-list?
