No notification after thunar-volman unmounting USB-device successfully

Hi,

utilizing Xfce 4.8 (Ubuntu Natty with all patches avail) I'm missing the 
notification saying
"Device is now save to remove" after unmounting the corresponding 
filesystem.

This used to work for me in 4.6 as described in
http://thunar.xfce.org/documentation/C/using-removable-media.html

Is there anything I can do ?
