4.6.1 desktop configuration problems

Known issue, in Xfce 4.6 the applications menu doesn't provide right
click nor drag-n-drop functionnality.

Same issue, the Xfce 4.6 panel doesn't accept drag-n-drop from so
called .desktop files.

You can stop the Panel (xfce4-panel --quit) make the modifications and
start the panel again (xfce4-panel).

I had recommend creating a new panel launcher item, and then configuring it.

You can try to drag-n-drop them from a Thunar window, by going to
/usr/share/applications for instance.
You can also try Xfce Appfinder (xfce4-appfinder) and try to
drag-n-drop from there.

There is no such program in Xfce 4.6. It can be done by editing the
configuration file(s).
