How to open remote folders on windows client in thunar

thunar-1.3 and xfce-4.8. I click on network->windows
network->workgroup->remote computer, there I see the remote folders
(i.e. samba shares).

I don't want to use any other application for this, thunar should be
fine. It can list the computer's shares, it just won't open the remote
folders. This must be a configuration problem, I guess.
