Multiple xfdesktops running, and very slow startup

I already have "Save session" disabled.  I don't get a 'clean' session
each time of course because I did once (on purpose) set "Save
session". So what I get is the same session each time with terminals
windows etc. in the places I want them.  It comes up with the same
layout when it does its slow start and when it does its quick start.
