shutdown problems

Hello,

well I have a problem with shutdown as user. In a older version of
xfce I could "shutdown" and the machine powered off completeley.
However with a later version now I can only logout and then shtudown.

Has this been fixed or is there solution to it? System ist:

uname -a
FreeBSD lobo.ewinter.org 8.0-STABLE FreeBSD 8.0-STABLE #11: Wed Apr
7 07:37:36 CEST 2010
ewinter at lobo.ewinter.org:/usr/obj/usr/src/sys/LOBO  amd64
