problem with new icon theme

Hi all,

I've installed tango-icon-them from gentoo portage and works fine. 

But now, I'm downloading some new icons from xfce-look, and when I try
to use them (just after uncompressing them under ~/.themes), I notice
that not all apps/conf options have an icon associated... I.e, xfce menu
only have icon under Network and Development. 
Seems that Icon set is complete *:
http://xfce-look.org/content/show.php/GANT?content=23297 so, why is
xfce not showing all icons?

seems thatSetting manager has all icons, and they are not showed in my
computer.

Oh, and where is the right path for adding new
font? /usr/share/fonts/$name ?
