Yes, you will get more hand-picked applications than with
"yum groupinstall xfce-desktop".
Most applications are in the Xfce group of the PackageKit package
manager, so you can select them individually, but others like catfish or
midori are not and you have to search a little.

Generally speaking, the Fedora Spins are package selections, but the
packages itself are not different. You get an easier installation and a
nice Live CD that can be used as a showcase of the Xfce desktop.
