More plugins are crashing. It you see the "GdkWindow 0xxxxxxxx
unexpectedly destroyed" warnings it means a plugin crashed thus the
panel lost the GtkPlug. The new panel will improve this behavior (auto
restart and ask the user what to do) and hopefully provide better
error logging.
