.desktop files per user

Checkout the XDG freedesktop spec. The applications are looked up
inside the XDG_DATA_DIRS + XDG_DATA_HOME. XDG_DATA_HOME defaults to
$HOME/.local/share/. Put your own desktop entry files inside
~/.local/share/applications.
