xfce4-terminal, command line parameter to set workspace?

Yes, yes, I know I can use other terminal programs and I *already* use
devil's pie but it all gets rather messy going down that route.

If I use an 'old fashioned' Window Manager like fvwm then I can put
just about all of my configuration in one place in an easy to edit
(for me anyway) ASCII file.  I just start all the applications I want
to run, specify the sizes, specify where they go and specify the
workspace. 

If I use xfce session management, and devil's pie then I have a
(again, to me) confusing collection of different places where I have
to specify where I want things to run and appear.

OK, it's me and the way I work which doesn't fit too well into the
modern desktop.
