xfce-setting-show (or "Settings Manager" in the root window mouse menu)
starts the Xfce Settings Manager where one can select "Display" and then
in the "Display Preferences" menu change the resolution.

Is it possible to do the same by script? Something like:

xfce-setting-show -display_resolution 1280x1024 at 75
