add-remove programs missing

Chances still are that you will find the Add/remove item
in /usr/share/applications.  Or in the menu?  I undestand it that this
launcher disappeared from the desktop, am I right?

Maybe there are some hints in the user manual that came with your
netbook...  check it out, cause this can be specific to the
installation that comes with your netbook, not with a normal Xfce
installation.
