XFCE Network Monitor applet

Hi,

Can the XFCE 'Network Monitor' applet, (that shows upload & download in
graphical form) be ported to (installed on) gnome or KDE (using KDE 3.5)  ?
I could not find a similar Internet Traffic Display monitor for GNOME or
KDE.
