Doh!  I missed the words "ldd on" in that questions.  Running
ldd on it produces no errors.

This may be a problem with the mailwatcher plugin from svn
(that's the plugin I happen to be playing with).  I just
noticed that I can't choose non-default .png icons for it
either.
