I think this is more of an Nvidia problem than an Xfce one. I tried the
latest Nvidia (180 and later), and found it to be slow too (when playing movies at
least), and went back to Nvidia's driver 177.82, and speed was back, so
I doubt this a Xfce problem. (8600gts graphics card, Debian Lenny)
