Some questions about session saving

That was what I tried many moons ago before moving to fvwm.  To be
honest it just seems like a bodge of something that should work anyway.

As I said before, fvwm manages what I want perfectly, the only reason
that I'm considering moving from fvwm is that xfce looks a bit
prettier and is more complete and integrated (i.e. the menus and
such) 'out of the box'.

I may well go back to using fvwm as my window manager with xfce
'underneath', i.e. using the xfce panels etc.
