I'm not 100% sure, but:

Xfce's Terminal uses vte for all it's terminal processing, so you have to file the
bug with vte, not Terminal. Terminal is not much more than a dumb (well, sorta ;)
graphical shell around vte.

So, if you have issues with compatibility in Terminal, please try and see if the
'vte' (which starts a bare 'vte' terminal) application also has the issue - in
which case the problem is with 'vte' instead of 'Terminal'.
