xfwm4 problems

I built all the core packages for xfce4, I started with startx and everything 
loads beautifully, except I cannot move any windows! I can hold ALT and right 
click and resize windows, but clicking on the title bar or holding ALT and 
moving them like normal does not do anything!!!

Any ideas?

I built xfwm4 with this>

./configure --prefix=/usr --sysconfdir=/etc --libexecdir=/usr/lib/xfce4 \
      --localstatedir=/var --mandir=/usr/man \
      --enable-shared --enable-compositor --enable-xsync --with-x

make && make install

Which worked just fine. I'm running an LFS type system.
