xprint4 'printer dialogue' gui fails

Hi,

Just installed a printer via cups page and printing a test page from 
there works fine.

The problem is:

With the printer installed, the xfce menu entry 'Printer Dialogue' does 
not start or show the gui. Only if I delete the printer will the 
'printer dialogue' gui display. FWIW, the printer is shown in 'Print 
Manager'. Trying to print from mousepad or emacs etc fails which is 
probably related to the above. Any help is appreciated!
