Yes, this feature has been added to avoid winters on earth. Your pc
produces a bit more heat and together with all the other Xfce users we
have a positive impact on global warming. This will eventually result
in a smaller weather plugin since the show icons can be removed ^_^
and Xfce gets even smaller.

Or maybe a bug that should be fixed... not really sure...
