My apologies.  I was looking for the wrong process before...  I did
find /usr/libexec/gam_server running on the working system.  I do not
find it running on the system that's having the trouble.

I attempted to start the gam_server, but the process eventually dies.
Does anyone know the correct way of getting this process to run?
