thunar-0.8 and hidden files

Hi,

Thunar is working OK when browsing directories with hidden files/dirs.
But, when I click on "browse" from other applications, for some reason
all hidden files and dirs are being displayed.

Anything to do with xfce/thunar or it's gtk2 misconfiguration? If yes,
could anybody be so nice to point me to correct direction?
