Yes you are correct, however it was not supposed to be html.  I may have 
clicked on the wrong box when I sent that but it would be unusual for me 
to do so.  I wonder if Thunderbird sometimes has a mind of its own?  I 
have now added xfce at xfce.org to the list of plain text addresses, 
perhaps that will help.
