Problem with plugin in Thunar

Hi, I'm new in this list,

I have a problem with the thunar's plugin for xarchiver. I want to do
right click in some compressed archive and decompress it, or do right
click in any archive/directory and compress it.

I installed this packages:
   xarchiver (manager for zip, unrar, p7zip, etc)
   thunar-archive-plugin

I can see the option in the context menu, but if I do click, it
display this message:
   Error: No suitable archive manager found.

What is the problem? I'm using Debian Etch.
