Make a window stick to one desktop

Hi

is it possible to make a window stick to one desktop, even if it has 
some annoying function to pop up on the currently active desktop when 
there is input required or something (like a new message in icq client)?

The program does not have a possibility to disable it and it really 
annoys me.

I had a look at devilspie but did not find an option which seemed 
appropriate for what I want to do.
