Hi, sorry for late answer. I would like to use mousepad for simple
editing tasks, like messing with some configuration files, simple
scripts nad also as a simple notepad into which I can quickly paste
some interesitng piece of information. For such use I'd gladly see
syntax highlighting and already mentioned tabs.

And for a "simple & lightweight" text editor I don't think more
features would be needed.
