session manager & mcs-manager

hmm, I just killed mcs-manager and nothing happened :?

as for session manager, I don't save sessions, so I don't really need 
that feture. I understand it's needed to provide a logout dialog, but 
why does it have to run as a daemon all the time then? why not just 
activate it on logout :?
