I couldn't help playing around a little more with the mcs plugin layout 
and replaced the spin button for the alpha value with a slider (or 
hscale) that runs from 0 to 100. Anyway, here's another patch against 
svn revision 21836. Looks like libxfcegui4 needs to be updated before as 
well.
