Xfce 4.3.90.1 & panel plugins

Hi everyone,

context : Mandriva 2006, Xfce 4.3.90.1 (installer) installed in
/home/xfce_test

I'm trying to compile some plugins from
http://www.foo-projects.org/~jasper/plugins/
(weather, netload, systemload).

I did an
export PKG_CONFIG_PATH=$PKG_CONFIG_PATH:/home/xfce_test/lib/pkgconfig/
before ./configure --prefix=/home/xfce_test ...

When I try to add a plugin, i can see it in the add new item list
but the plugin didn't appear in the panel.
I only can see some xfce4-xxx-plugin <defunct>.

Any tips to solve this ?
