You need to remove the mouse gestures extension from Tool -> Extensions. However no distro I'm aware
of ships with this extension by default so I dunno how you've picked it up.
As for "and everything else for that matter", if you want a completely featureless browser, I
recommend Epiphany from the GNOME project. You'll dirty your system with some gnomelibs a bit, but
probably not too many:
rob at serpentine:~$ aptitude show epiphany-browser
Package: epiphany-browser
New: yes
State: not installed
Version: 2.14.1-0ubuntu2

iso-codes, gconf2 (>= 2.12.1-4ubuntu1)
However you could probably achieve the same effect by removing all extensions from Firefox.
Oh that reminds me, there is another epiphany-like browser which dates back a long way, could also
be a viable alternative - Galeon:

Provides: www-browser
Description: GNOME web browser for advanced users
A standards compliant web browser, which integrates well with the GNOME desktop
environment. It does not include an email client, irc bot, website designer
etc., therefore has a moderate resource usage. Internally the program uses
Mozilla's Gecko rendering engine to display the web pages so is fully feature
complete and standards compliant, as well as rendering pages quickly.
