Strange icon'ness whackieness

	I've seen this happen before with nautilus but now it's happened in
Thunar.  The icons representing folders/directories and those for files
are all the same.  The only different ones are for image files.  An
example of what I mean can be seen at -

No amount of icon/theme changing will affect this.  If I boot into GNOME
I get, well, I can't remember what I get and it's to late to go
rebooting now.  I'm already 4 hours past my bedtime.  I'll be a pumpkin
any moment now.
