The biggest bit of settings is your panel setup. The new panel config
is not compatible with the old one. Your mcs settings can probably be
used. I don't think anything needs to be done for that because the file
locations haven't changed.

There is no xftaskbar4 in 4.4. That's running because you haven't  
uninstalled
the older version. IMHO, it's better to use a clean setup for minimal  
annoyances.
