Cannot start xfce from vnc startup script

Andrew thanks for your reply.
I copied the file to ~/.xinitrc and got a log file with _some_ errors.
The last two, on line 5 and 13 of my startup file, are the most important.

Part of the problem is that the
/etc/X11/xinit/xinitrc.xfce
that I copied to ~/.xinitrc
is very complex and seems to use relative paths.
It's attached.

Maybe I could use a simplier .xinitrc file?
My xinitrc files for other window managers are much simpler.

I found out today that another twm (another wm) worked perfectly.
Probably the others do also so perhaps I'll have to give up on xfce 
although I like it very much.
