You know what ? I'm happy.
I created myself the directory you're talking of (it
wasn't), with the theme of my choice, and then it
worked. It seems that ubuntu gnome and xfce do not use
the same directories for this.
I really love linux, even if it is a bit difficult &
crazy in some cases.
Linux according to me is nothing without these
mailinglists, without the internet. :-)
