Legacy Command editing

I use XFCE exclusively in all my Slackware installs. It's fast, it's clean,
it's lean and mean.

Anyway, this problem never bothered me much until recently. If I save my
session with a mozilla or firefox browser open, when I restart XFCE after
logging out, the browsers don't come up again.

I manually fixed this by editing the file ending in :0 in ~/.cache/sessions
from firefox-bin to firefox. I was wondering if there was a systemwide
configuration file to force the session to save firefox-bin as firefox
instead? Or would an easier fix be to make a symbolic link to firefox-bin
from firefox?
