I'm using Gentoo and have emerged xfce4 (4.2.2) (i.e. xfce-base/*) and 
just about all the additional non-masked packages (i.e. xfce-extra/* ).

It looks like the ebuild does the -debug and -doc options only, so maybe 
I'll have to re-compile manually...
