XFCE broken

Hello all
  Running Ubuntu Dapper with XFCE desktop. The latest upgrades seem to have broken it badly. I posted to the Ubuntu list
and the packager replied it would be fixed...3 days ago. I was also told to "expect" some breakage.


I have tried all the apt-get tricks such as -f but it seems some packages aren't ready/available
In the meantime is there anything I can do to get back my desktop ?


59 upgraded, 4 newly installed, 22 to remove and 0 not upgraded.
10 not fully installed or removed.
