Will using KDE programs use too much system resources?

	I wouldn't necessarily agree with this, myself.  If you can live with
the slower startup times for not keeping the KDE stuff resident using
Kate under Xfce should be fine.

	FWLIW, unless there's an extremely compelling reason not to, I use KDE
and GNOME apps under Xfce all the time.  The advantages I have with the
way Xfce functions are far more important than it's resource savings.
Don't get me wrong, I like the resource savings, but it's not the
primary reason I use Xfce.
