Xfce 4.4 - Icon problem

So, it seems that we've got the same issue, but still no solutions...

I reiterate my question: I'm definitely not a gtk specialist but I would 
appreciate it if someone could give me a pointer to which parts of the Xfce 
code  I could instrument in order to find out where the problem is.
